The Cushing Memorial Library and Archives hosts an ever-changing exhibition schedule, offering original content related to the library's many collections.  Recent exhibition subjects include Texas history; our science fiction and fantasy collection; Enlightenment thought and the French eighteenth century from the Robert L. Dawson Collection; great American illustrated books from the Mary and Mavis P. Kelsey Collection; the life and works of such writers as Walt Whitman, John Donne, and Miguel de Cervantes; and the history of various groups of students, faculty, and staff at Texas A&M.  Our exhibitions are open to the University community as well as to the wider public, and frequently feature lectures and related events.

Deeper than Swords: Celebrating the Work of George R. R. Martin

Opening March 22, 2013, the "Deper than Swords" exhibtion spans the career of George R. R. Martin and highlights the extensive Science Fiction and Fantasty Collection housed by Cushing Library of his materials.  Martin will be present for the opening of the exhibition as well as deliver a lecture and have a signing.
